Services

Play Therapy is a powerful therapeutic approach that utilizes creative tools and play to help children and young people express themselves and process their emotions.

By engaging in play, these individuals can communicate feelings that may be difficult to articulate verbally, fostering a safe space for healing and growth.

The benefits of this method include improved emotional regulation, enhanced social skills, and increased self-esteem.

I have additional experience in supporting children and young people diagnosed with complex learning disabilities (PMLD) and those within the care system (Foster Care and Children's homes).

I am dedicated to using Play Therapy to empower and uplift those that I work with.

Therapeutic Mentoring
  • Supporting children and young people during difficult transitions in their life

  • Working with the hard to reach – helping them to form the 'connection'

  • Working with children who have been excluded/at risk of exclusion – reintegrating them back into formal services such as schools

  • Offering an approach which is underlined by therapeutic principles

  • Using additional knowledge of child development, attachment, neuroscience and trauma to adapt my response and to form the ‘connection’

  • Working with professionals involved to identify what works, sharing psychological knowledge, the child’s voice (verbal and non-verbal), and to explore how re-integration can be best facilitated

I provide a number of trainings to child in care, and educational services.

I offer some pre-developed training in:

  • Developmental Play

  • Sensory Play

  • Attachment and Child Development

  • Resilience, Well-being and PLACE (Playful, Loving, Accepting, Curious, Empathy)

I also offer bespoke training; often based around 'play' 'Child Development' and 'Communication.' When bespoke training is in response to specific children, an initial observation will be offered.
